Human Exceptionalism: Evolutionary Theories Don’t Cut It » Secondhand Smoke | A First Things Blog

  1. The idea of human exceptionalism in evolution is intriguing. Without it humans are just afloat, or you have to insert some outside influence i.e. aliens. But why would change have been any different 300,000 year ago than it is today. Meaning, humans invented flight, and the automobile using intelligence and will. Therefore, somewhere along the line some inquisitive, brave human (or humanoid) learned to harness fire.
